Great for larger herds, the WaterMatic 1000 features a 26-inch-high (66-cm) all-around drink surface and is impact resistant. It’s fully insulated to keep water cool in the summer and provide added protection during the winter. An optional heat package is required in freezing conditions. It has a drop-in cover for easy maintenance and cleaning, and its sloped trough makes cleaning even easier, guiding debris toward the drain openings. Drain plugs can be relocated to the valve compartment for short-term shutoff — ideal during cleaning, when pens are empty or during cold snaps. With a low-capacity system and a quick-refill valve, the unit conserves water while consistently supplying fresh drinking water. The WaterMatic 1000 can water up to 275 beef cattle or 135 dairy cows.
